The Aggs

I stayed in Step Cottage Barn several times recently with my two small children. The setting is a beatiful green valley. The cottage is rustic and charming. Ample room for three or four. The garden is stunning. The Coach & Horses pub just a brisk five minutes walk away is surely one of the best in the area and serves upmarket cuisine.

Many thanks to Helen for providing such a wonderful place to stay in her cottage in the middle of her beautiful garden.  Helen has created a very welcoming ‘home away from home’ and it is very easy to walk into and feel very comfortable.  It was so great to be able to hang our washing out to dry in the breeze after a few weeks of travelling.  The cottage kitchen had everything we needed and is very well-provisioned, which is a testament to Helen’s generosity.  She gave us great tips for the neighbourhood and we enjoyed walking & running in the nearby Ashdown Forest as well as using the cottage as a great base to go a bit further afield.  The local Coach & Horses pub was definitely worth a visit and we had a great dinner there.  We would happily stay here again.  All the best to you Helen.
